| By
1999,the total volume of import and export summed up 322 million
USD,in which 251 million USD in export, and there are 500 kinds
in 10 categories of the commodities of export mainly including
five metals,chemical industry, machinery and elctronics,non-ferrous
metal, textile,medicine, food and oil stuff and local livstock
products, there are 4 kinds of the commodities which the foreign
exchanges value have reached 10 million USD such as woolblanket,
ferrosilicon, aluminium mold and wool, and the 70 kinds of commodities
which the foreign exchanges value have earned one million, among
them mainly including sodium sulphide, melon seeds,cement,oil
pump,broad bean, hyacinth bean, yarn,bleached cotton cloth,cotton
trousers,art crafts, dyestuff, traditional Chinese medicine, silicon
iron, worsted spinning cloth,wool fabric,alternating current generator,
Chinese angelica,graphite electrode ,bearing,electronic devices
and coal so on. |

the end of 1999,there are 1,100 kinds of foreign trade enterprises
in the city, among them there are 25 specialized foreign trade
companies,40 state-owned enterprises authorized to multify management
right,8 private-owned enterprises and 37 export-oriented foreign
investment enterprises,the city has set up the economic and trade
relations with more than 80 countries and regions of five continentals
in the globe. |

By 1999,the total 11 international multi-aided programes have
been carried out in the city,the value of it reached $23,111 USD.The
aid-offering international organizations and countries are FAO,
UNICEF, UNDP,UNIFPA, WHO, ECC, AUSTRALIA EMBASSY TO CHINA, U.K.,
CANADA, NEW ZEALAND,NETHERLAND and JAPAN as well. The 48 programes
related to the international contracted projects, cooperation
of labor services, design consulting services in the fields of
health care,elementary education,training agriculture technicians
as well as portable water for people and animals progame. The
total volume of contracted programes summed up 42,000 USD and
all kinds of exported labor services have reached 854 people (times).There
have been 28 enterprises and institutions early or late establised
in Ukraine,Hungary, Kazakstan and Hong kong as well,total investment
reached 214,200 USD. |
